About Us

Since 1993, P.F. Chang’s has been delighting customers with our fresh take on traditional Chinese food. We’re proud to bring the 2,000 year old wok-cooking tradition to hungry fans of Asian cuisine across the U.S. and around the world.

Where it All Began

Founders Philip Chiang and Paul Fleming were both successful restaurateurs before they decided to team up on a new venture in the early 1990s. Mr. Chiang’s mother, Cecilia Chiang, had opened several popular Chinese restaurants in California in the 1960s and 70s. When she had to return to China for a long trip, Mr. Chiang, just out of art school, took over the restaurant operations.

Mr. Fleming was already running several successful restaurants in California, Arizona, and Hawaii. But whenever he visited Los Angeles, he would have to stop at the Chiang’s restaurant for the best Asian food he’d ever had.

Soon, Paul Fleming (P.F.) and Philip Chiang (Chang) joined up to create P.F. Chang’s. The first location opened in Scottsdale, Arizona in 1993, with three California locations coming soon after. Over the next 25 years, the concept would grow to include over 95 global locations and over 210 U.S. locations, including right here in Arlington.

Our Philosophy

The mission at this top Arlington restaurant is to provide fresh, high-quality, affordable Chinese food. Everything in our kitchen is made by hand every day, from dumplings to dessert. Whenever possible, we work with local farmers and suppliers so the meal that reaches your table is as fresh and close to the land as possible.

Our Menu

While our history is in China, our menu explores many Asian culinary traditions. You’ll find unique takes on Thai, Japanese, Korean, and Vietnamese flavors in our dishes. Our dedication to experimentation and blending of unique flavors is what makes us one of the best restaurants in Arlington.

Chang’s Lettuce Wraps are one of the dishes that put our Chinese restaurant on the map. This secret Chiang family recipe is closely guarded. The classic version contains chicken, but we also make a vegetarian option. And for a wrap with some kick, try our Dynamite Lettuce Wraps with tempura-battered shrimp, Asian salsa, and spicy dynamite sauce.

Pork ribs are a staple of Chinese food. We have a delicious option on our menu — BBQ Spare Ribs. Our BBQ Spare Ribs are slow braised and brushed with a sweet and tangy sauce in the Cantonese style

Dim Sum

Traditionally, dim sum is a meal consisting of small small plates of buns, dumplings, and rolls. It literally means “touch the heart,” which makes sense — dim sum should be enjoyed with family and friends.

Our dim sum is always rolled, folded, and pinched by hand. Pork or shrimp dumplings can be either steamed or fried, and are served with a chili sauce drizzle.

Our pork egg rolls or spring rolls provide a satisfying crunch and plenty of flavor. Our vegetable spring rolls crispy rolls stuffed with julienned veggies, sweet chili dipping sauce.

Mongolian beef potstickers and crab wontons round out our dim sum options. Choose one or two to go with your meal, or get them all and have a dim sum feast.

We’re a Chinese restaurant designed to suit international tastes. So we’ve mixed some of our favorite American side dishes with Asian flavors. Our Kimchi Fries are topped with Korean kimchi, cheese, edamame, Korean ketchup, and spicy gochujang mayo. And our Asian Mac & Cheese is full of Asian mushrooms and rich truffle oil.

If you’re looking for something lighter as a side dish, our Kung Pao Brussels Sprouts, Chili-Garlic Green Beans, or Crispy Green Beans will leave plenty of room for your entree (and dessert).

Our sushi menu blends traditional Japanese flavors like perfect Ahi tuna, sweet mango, and crunchy cucumber, with international favorites like sriracha, curry, and avocado.

The Kung Pao Dragon Roll updates the famous California roll with seared Ahi tuna, spicy sriracha, crunchy tempura bits, and salty peanuts.

Our Shrimp Tempura Roll has crisped tempura shrimp, kani kama, cucumber, avocado, umami sauce.

Entrees at P.F. Chang’s are meant to be shared family style. So it’s okay if you can’t decide which one you want! Order a few and pass them around the table to be enjoyed by everyone.

Crispy Honey Shrimp, Mongolian Beef, and Chang’s Spicy Chicken are just a few of the famous entree options on our menu. Korean Bulgogi, Chicken Pad Thai, and two types of ramen extend our entrees out of China and into the wider world of Asian cuisine.

Gluten-Free and Allergies

At P.F. Chang’s, we believe that everyone should be able to eat delicious Asian food. That’s why we have a separate gluten-free menu that includes appetizers, entrees, noodles, and rice dishes.

And for guests with other food allergies, we have a full list of every dish on our menu, and which allergens they contain. So you can always feel safe when dining with us.

Beer, Wine & Cocktails

Dining out should be a celebration. That’s why we have an extensive (and award-winning) wine list here at P.F. Chang’s. Included on the list, you’ll find our proprietary Project Walla Walla white and red blends, created in partnership with Washington-based Browne Family Vineyards. These wines were specially created to pair perfectly with the unique flavors of our Chinese food.

Our cocktail menu features our own twists on many classic cocktails made with our own house-made mixers. Our Dirty Olive Martini is made with muddled vermouth soaked olives. The Japanese Old Fashioned is based on Japanese whisky, instead of the usual bourbon or rye. And our Honey Thyme Gin & Tonic adds honey water, fresh lemon, and a sprig of thyme to the traditional refreshing drink.

We’ve also played around with some of our favorite tiki and Central American drinks to make Asian-inspired tropical sippers. The Asian Pear Mojito combines muddled limes and mint with Bacardi Limon and tart apple schnapps. And the Strawberry Ginger Margarita gives the classic Mexican drink a spicy upgrade.

If you’re abstaining from alcohol, we have delicious non-alcoholic mocktails that will keep you refreshed. Our Peach Boba Breeze starts with black tea, and adds boba pearls and peach for a lightly sweetened take on iced tea. Or try a Pomegranate Lemonade, mixed with real pomegranate seeds.

Stop by our top Arlington restaurant during Happy Hour between 3:00pm and 6:00pm Monday through Friday. Enjoy our $6 and under food and drink specials like Chang’s Lettuce Wraps, Egg Rolls, Sangria, or saké.
